Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects). CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.K.CC.B.4: Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.K.CC.B.5: Count to answer "how many?" questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects. Essential Questions What are the differences between needs and wants? How do needs and wants impact our lives? How do families meet their needs and wants? Guiding Questions What job would you have? What would you buy with the money you earned? How many needs did you buy? How many wants did you buy? How much money did you spend? Did you have any money leftover? Wants Needs Job Cost Assessment Students will be assessed through their work in their mini-books. Students will be assessed based on if they were able to count the correct number of bills and write the number on the line. Students will be assessed on their ability to classify their items bought as wants or needs. Materials
