Essential Questions What are the differences between needs and wants? How do needs and wants impact our lives? How do families meet their needs and wants? Guiding Questions Were the items brought on the Mayflower wants or needs? Why did the Pilgrims only bring needs on the Mayflower? What would you bring on the Mayflower? Are the items you would bring wants or needs? Objectives I can explain the difference between wants and needs. I can classify items brought on the Mayflower as needs. Students will be assessed through their verbal responses during the class sharing time. Students will be assessed informally on whether they are able to accurately classify various items as a need or want. Students will also be assessed through their worksheet on whether they were able to accurately classify the items as needs or wants. |
